This is the entrance to the rectory, where the Padres live and the volunteers eat all our meals.  The building is over 100 years old, and inhabited by all sorts of critters.  The parish is fundraising to build a new rectory- the last time the bishop was here, he laid down the law and told the priests that they had to build a new one.  Fr Dan thinks that if all the volunteers stood in the kitchen and jumped, the building would come down anyways.

A Sunday in Belize... we had a wonderful Barbeque last weekend, cooking chicken over a small fire and then roasting marshmallows-- a hard-to-find treat here.  The weather is cool enough that a fire is nice.  Padre Mark claimed the hammock, and we figured we'd let him have it because he is a priest and all :)

This is me and Ethan, my Godson, who is now 7 months old and adorable.  He says mama, papa, and lali (his word for his grandma), and waves goodbye.  He'll be walking pretty soon, too!

My girls are in love with jewelry, and after they found out I had made some of the earrings I wear, they begged me to teach them how to make earrings.  I brought back some beads and tools after Christmas, and let each girl make a pair of earrings.  I'd say about 80% of them went for the pink beads.  Anyways, we had some leftovers, so the girls decided to make more earrings as a fundraiser (each homeroom is required to raise $300 BZ for student council, which is never easy).  So far, the fundraiser has been a huge success, and the girls are really excited.

Here are my girls with Bob (who they call "bub"), the new favorite biology toy.  The girls are fascinated with him, especially after I explained where your stomach really is (not the place that aches when you have a stomach ache).  Bob was donated by my old High School, Notre Dame, and carried down in a suitcase.  Suprisingly, no customs agent even blinked.
